Her makeup and body painting has been published many times in national and international editorials, magazines, books, as well as televised episodes.  Her makeup was featured on four covers in December and in six different magazines. Her work is published in a book that was disbursed to five different continents in the top 1000 photos out of a million submissions, and has newspaper articles reading that her work “swept San Jose and was kissed by art heaven."

Tamiko has worked with many top designers in the Bay Area including Tuan Tran, Colleen Quen, MIMI Tran, Scotcha, Monique Zhang, Qamar, Subyexa Bhadel, and many more. Tamiko was key makeup artist to Colleen Quen for the 2013 Fashion on the Square and since then has gone on to do makeup for corporate events, film shoots, fashion shows, celebrities and several charity events such as The Arthritis Foundation, Academy of Friends, in support of finding the cure for AIDS, Third World Indie Film Festival, (anti-human trafficking) and creative director for the San Francisco Sustainable Fashion Week International and for Dr Romesh Japra in his 25 year legacy fundraiser Festival of Globe; the list goes on.

Tamiko also has a love for body painting and has assisted Trina Merry for many jobs and been asked to be on a few popular reality shows. Many of the body painting exhibits have gone viral all over the internet. Recently, at the IMATS Makeup Show, she and one other makeup artist were asked to go on tour with Demi Lovato as her personal makeup artist. They got to paint opening day body paint display for Graftobian makeup.

Tamiko is the makeup artist to many celebrity clientele, including Geena Davis (Beetlejuice), Laura Turner Sydel, Adam Savage of Myth Busters, Cheryl Burke on Dancing with the Stars, Katrina Darrell on American Idol, cast of Lost in Space, Actress/Model Tatiana Dekythar, plus many more. She also served as a talent judge for Julie Nations annual talent showcase based out of Santa Rosa for the past two years. Tamiko is a finalist in the 2018 The Skin Games which is being held this April 7th, and has been nominated to take part in the Compassion Award for TSG 2018, and will be competing in the Advant Gard and Correction Makeup categories.

While working in the beauty and fashion industry, she learned the other side of fashion and wanted to make a difference to help the world. Although she loves the glamour side of fashion, the dark side was too much to just ignore and after some thought, she came up with a concept to film a documentary. Her idea is to somehow educate to people on some of the harmful habits of the fashion industry. This documentary film will show some of the tremendous social and environmental impacts of the current state of the fashion industry, but also be highlighting both real and envisioned high-tech and low-tech solutions, as well.

Also, she challenges several designers to design two pieces each with material made of plastic bottles, recycled, or repurposed textiles, and put them on one stage, thus driving home the point that we do not need to keep making and dying new fabrics which grossly contribute to the degradation of our waterways and oceans. She hopes that the message comes across very clear and that every person who sees it invites others to watch it and be responsible to our world. “To sustain, we need positive change, and the only thing preventing us from that is, one thought away. SEEK that thought."
